Criminal Justice & Protective Services Students Participate in Tactical Training Workshop

Criminal Justice and Protective Services students assisted with the Capitol Region Tactical Training Workshop on October 8th, 2026, supporting an opportunity for regional public safety professionals to train, collaborate, and learn together. Organized by the Capitol Region Council of Gobernments (CRCOG), the workshop emphasized tactical reaadiness through realistic training, collaboration, and operational excellence. The program included practical training stations and Operational Resilience Systems. For our students, the experience reinforced an important lesson: public safety depends on preparation, effective communication, teamwork, and responsible decision making. Assisting with professional training connects classroom lessons to the expectations of future careers in law enforcement and emergency services. This experience supports the CTECS Vision of a Graduate by encouraging students to think critically, communicate clearly, collaborate, and demonstrate professionalism while contributing to their community. Thank you to CRCOG, the participating tactical teams, and workshop organizers for including our students in this valuable educational experience!
