Holocaust Survivor Speaks at Vinal Tech

Vinal welcomed Endre (Andy) Sarkany, who shared his story of survival during the Holocaust. Teacher Ms. Lee shared, “Students are studying World War II in History class, and this was a great opportunity for students to meet someone with firsthand knowledge of the time period. Mr. Sarkany was a child in Hungary when the Germans invaded. His father was sent to a concentration camp, and he had to survive under dangerous circumstances in a confined area of the city.  The students were very engaged in the presentation and had the opportunity to talk to Mr. Sarkany individually after the presentation.”  Thank you, Mr. Sarkany.
