COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Elements and Principles of Art I and II (FA613, FA614)
Students will have an opportunity to create and respond to visual arts, focusing on drawing, design, color, painting and sculpture. This course will introduce students to a variety of techniques and mediums that they will apply while creating a portfolio of original artwork.

Trade-Related Art I and II (FA665-FA670)
Students have an opportunity to create and respond to the visual arts as it applies to and enhances the student's Career Technical Education program, incorporating concepts learned in Elements and Principles of Art. Students also are expected to develop and use higher-order thinking skills and problem-solving skills when approaching assignments and begin to create a portfolio of original artwork related to their technologies.

Recently the Precision Machining Dept. was awarded a $10,000 grant from the Gene Haas Foundation. The money will be awarded as scholarships to deserving students in the Precision Machining Program who are furthering their education or entering the workforce upon graduation.  Learn more
